April 2014 Guidance in the Stars

April 2014 Guidance in the Stars

As April 2014 approaches – this can be an excellent time to prepare ourselves for the impact of all the challenging energies ahead. Astrological information abounds about just what we can look forward to …I will be using links to give you speedy access to the best data available at this time of writing BUT am sure lots of other wonderful guidance will be available in the coming weeks.

Earlier this year I noticed a rare Astrological Event destined to happen on 29.4.14 called Annular Eclipse Anon-C = a rare Annular eclipse where the central line does not touch the Earths surface. Watch out for that one!

Earlier in April – 15.4.14 we have a Total Lunar Eclipse which will be experienced mostly across North & South America Here is one link on this energy & others. And another link where the information covers a lot of 2014 and seems most helpful.

Other suggested sights (LINKS 1,2 & 3) have been recommended to my current Astrology Students as being places to gain more insight into the coming events. I encourage you to get into a bit of personal research – NOW could be the perfect time to follow-up on an interest in some personal healing therapy?

Eclipse Links Visible

Flipping through my ephemeris this week I discovered a rare Eclipse called ‘A non C’ – it was a term that I had never heard mentioned before and led me on a journey of research and discovery…. this is what I found…

In Life & Astrology amongst the ‘cycles within cycles’ lots of exciting events occur. When it comes to the Eclipse Cycle (often called the Saros Cycle), it has been found that an Eclipse will return to the same sign and house every 18years and the opposite sign and house every 9years. Therefore when we are seeking to understand the significances of an Eclipse in our own Life – look back 18 years or 9 years and check for a link to current circumstances.

Eclipses are linked to the position North and South Nodes which are known by Astrologers to be symbolic of our Soul’s Destiny – the journey from the ‘comfortable’ & familiar past towards the often unknown future.  It is wise to consult a Professional Astrologer if you wish to discover the relevance of any planetary events to your own Life Path/Birth Chart. There is also LOTS of links between Religion & Eclipses.

This writing is about two upcoming Eclipses important in Australia. The first is a Total Solar Eclipse (a New Moon – Sun conjunct Moon, when the Moon will pass between the Earth & Sun causing darkness) on this Wednesday 14.11.12 at 8.10am- visible in North Queensland Australia and parts of the Pacific. The second is the rare ‘A non C’ event on Tuesday 29.4.14 at 4.14pm (a New Moon – Sun conjunct Moon; Annular, central line does not touch Earth surface) also visible in a wide area of Australia. When investigating these two events I found some intriguing links between the two. Read the rest of this entry »

A Grand 40day Experience

A chance to raise your vibration with Love

Here we are … in the 2nd quarter of what has been described as a “40day grand experience 15th July to 22 August 2012” …a time to “root out old emotional trash that no longer serves us” and to “Raise your vibration with love“.

What exactly is this ‘grand experience’ all about? As an Astrologer, I decided to investigate.

What I found is … YES we are definitely in a VERY dynamic period. A time of cycles within cycles synchronised amongst the many greater cycles of Life forever unfolding.

…15 July to 22 August is a retrograde period for the planet Mercury. It began at 12 degree Leo and will regress through the sign of Leo till 8.8.12 – where at 1 degree Leo, Mercury then goes direct. On August 22 Mercury will again be at 12 degree Leo, completing the cycle. During this time July 29th is another significant date – when the Sun and Mercury are conjunct (6degree Leo) within the retro cycle.

What many non Astrologers may not realise is …that the true Mercury Retrograde Cycle began way back on 28th May 2012 when the Sun and Mercury (then a direct motion through the zodiac) were conjunct at 7 degree Gemini (the first sign ruled by Mercury). The next Sun/Mercury conjunction happens on 10th September 2012 at 17 degree Virgo (the 2nd sign ruled by Mercury). We average at least 3 Mercury Retrograde cycles each year.

What it means to you and me

…Astrologically, the planet Mercury represents – my attitude – my thinking – my communication – my voice – my memory – my beliefs = learned behaviour helpful/or hindrance; useful/or out-dated; love/or fear = who’s’ voice are you repeating? = are you repeating someone else’s thought patterns? – your name/how you are Read the rest of this entry »

Over the years I have been asked many times to facilitate Astrology Classes, and although I often teach some of the basics in a Natal Chart Reading; it has never been the ‘right time’ to do a structured class. Now is the right time.

My love of this wonderful language of symbols began in the mid 1980s in this lifetime (I am sure I have lived other lifetimes where I have also been an Astrologer). This connection has continued to grow and blossom with structured studies, working with clients, research, reading books and articles. Working with Astrology on a daily basis is a bit like having a referdex (street directory) to a city – you have an idea of what type of environment (transits) you are travelling in; and the type of detours you are most prone to enjoy. Yet the choice is totally yours as to what ‘road’ (energy) you choose to utilise at any given time. Read the rest of this entry »

Ancient peoples would connect to the Moon more strongly when it was full – they could easily observe the build-up towards the full and the waning into nothing-ness.  Today, with the help of the telescope we are more informed. We tend to follow the new Moon as it builds to full & returns back to reconnect with (conjunct) the Sun as a full cycle. We see this 28/29 day passage through each sign of the Zodiac (Moon spends approx 2 ½ days in each sign) as a full cycle.

But what if we took the full Moon as a beginning point and followed the cycle through the ‘nothing-ness’ and back to full? The full Moon is the point at which the Moon is exactly opposite the Sun; perhaps this alternate method of beginning a Moon cycle would contribute more successfully in bringing our awareness back to a more holistic life focus? Moon symbolises emotion and the feeling nature, while Sun is about ego and enterprise.

Tomorrow (at 9.10pm Eastern Australian time) we will be experiencing a full Moon at 26degrees Scorpio. This will usually have the most influence on people with any Inner Planet (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars) at 26 degrees of any Fixed Sign (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius). Depending on the Planet involved, any other Transits and the Houses too; some may experience the event as a profound shift, a menacing nuisance, or a minor hiccup. A Professional Astrologer is best consulted when seeking to take advantage of each significant event. Read the rest of this entry »

Steps to Fitness

Now that the 28 days in February 2011 are fading into the past, it is helpful to realise that we can utilise the 28 day Moon Cycles (mentioned in Part 2) to continue on our path to improved fitness and well-being.

At this point, it may be useful to ask ourselves – what does fitness mean to me?

For each of us it will often mean very different things. For some, it maybe Read the rest of this entry »

Astrology helps us navigate 'The Road of Life'

Astrology is an ancient language of symbols that has been used by humans for centuries to assist with decision making, planning events, understanding themselves and the world around them; and predicting the future.

My use of Astrology as a Natural Health Professional includes drawing on an individuals’ Natal Chart to gauge their current circumstances, as well as past & inner working potentials. I often cast my eye over the current transits for my clients when making appointments for major healing sessions such as Rebirthing/Breathwork.

The dynamics of Fitness Feb include the fact that for most of the month the Sun (symbol of Self in Natal Chart) is in the sign of Aquarius – giving Read the rest of this entry »

The Moon & Earth in our Natal Chart links to Mother

Traditional Astrology recognises the placement and sign of the Moon in an individual Natal Chart as a strong indication of the Mothers’ influence on their personality. The relationships between a Natal Moon and other Planets in the Chart + Transiting Planets (including Transiting Moon) show even deeper elements of our Mother/Child dynamics.

Our Moon placement helps explain the experience of many Mums (with 2 or more children) who notice their children are like ‘chalk & cheese’. This can be explained when exploring the Moon Sign of each child – symbolising their relationship to Mum. A child with a Gemini Moon will draw on different elements of Mums’ personality from the child with a Leo Moon. One may be constantly challenging Mum, while the other can be reasoned with.

The Natal Moon symbolises our emotional nature – the nurturing (or lack of) we received as baby. It also Read the rest of this entry »

Today is the first day of spring 2010. As we come out of the chilly winter season (as chilly as it gets in tropical QLD) I have been pondering the significance of springtime in this part of the world – the Southern Hemisphere. We all relate springtime to the warming of our weather after chills of winter; the re-emergence of plant growth; the renewal of many animal species = eg birds are nesting and raising young. And ‘the coming out’ of winter hibernation into a time of increased activity.

It struck me that – although springtime in Northern Hemisphere occurs in March when the Sun in sign of Pisces; in the South our spring occurs in sign of Virgo – bringing us collectively into a whole different focus each time. Read the rest of this entry »
