The world outside the window is sometimes over-shaddowed by "the window of technology' - the computer

1. You only have 20min to check emails, yet find yourself spending 3 hours on Facebook.

2. Rather than talk to the neighbour over the back fence you keep leaving messages on his ‘wall’ (Facebook wall)

3. You would rather spend 2hours on facebook than see a movie

4. Real life contacts become less, while the number of online friends gets bigger

5. You no longer need a mobile fone to chat with friends & family – you do live chat on Facebook

6. You loose your job because you are spending too much of your work-time on Facebook

7. You go into withdrawal symptoms if you have more than 1 day away from Facebook

8. You get offended if someone ‘ignores’ you (doesn’t reply within a day) on Facebook

9. You go to visit other people just so you can get on their computer & go on-line to Facebook

10. You believe that Facebook will hold the solution to all your problems

Should any 2 of the above symptoms be observed in the behaviour of friends or family members – An INTERVENTION is recommended, followed by a period of DETOX. Once the addict has recognised his/her symptoms & is strong enough to re-enter the society full of Computer Cafes & Home PCs – it is recommended that regular attendance to FA (Facebook Anonymous) be maintained as ongoing support for addiction.
