There is so much room in here - I feel abundant & safe

Week 28 I have survived the 1st trimester of pregnancy. Although the pregnancy and my arrival was unexpected – my parents are welcoming to me and adjusting their lives to include me.

Week 30 I am felling quite playful and abundant in the womb – I have everything I need – lots of room to move – good nutrient supply via Mums blood stream – I hear Mum speaking to me tenderly and my Dad loves to put his hand on Mums tummy and feel me kicking from inside – life is wonderful and free and I am feeling loved ands wanted.

Week 36 Getting a bit squashed in here . . . not so much stretching room now . . . . am building up my muscle tone for breathing and moving . . . can hear music and sounds from outside world – yet am safe and secure – just the right temperature in here . . . all is great!

Week 40 I am ready to come out now . . . . I have released the special hormone that begins my birthing. My Mum has practiced her relaxation techniques and breathing, and although a bit apprehensive, she feels ready for this birthing process. My Dad is there to support us both . . . . A bit later I am inside the birth canal . . . Mum has had some discomfort but is coping reasonable OK . . . I am picking up on all the sounds Read the rest of this entry »

So far we have explored lots of simple yet effective ways to Breathe into Life – practice of any one of these Breathing Techniques will bring Positive Results.

Now we are ready to taste the most Powerful Breathing Technique I know – Conscious Connected Breathing (CCB). When CCB is combined with the Principal Truth – All Thought is CreativeWe have the Ultimate Healing Therapy on this Planet – Rebirthing – most recently called Breathwork.

At birth we have our first experiences separate form mother.

At birth we have our first experiences separate form mother.

The term Rebirthing came from the fact that during this Breathwork Therapy a client will access and heal aspects of their individual Birth Experience – which for most of us was VERY Traumatic. It was at Birth where we took our First Breath. And it was at Birth where our Breath was Read the rest of this entry »

Meditation /Relaxation is aides by our Breath.

Meditation /Relaxation is aided by Awareness of Breathing Techniques.

How we are Breathing plays a major role in our ability to Relax, Meditate and Heal Stress related Symptoms in our body.

Although our Breathing is an involuntary, automatic and self-regulating function of our nervous system; we do have the ability to consciously alter our breath. It takes no conscious effort on our part for our breathing to keep us alive. Yet if we choose we can stop our Breath for a short time, speed it up or slow it down. This is not possible with our other involuntary functions like digestion and circulation. Our individual Breathing mechanism is VERY unique and powerful.

Parts of the body involved in taking a Breath include the Nose, Lungs, Pharynx, Trachea, Diaphragm, Bronchi and Ribcage. While the muscles of the chest control our Breathing Movements, it is the Nose that regulates the temperature and filters the air before it gets into the lungs. We move approximately 8,640 litres of air in and out of our lungs everyday (41/2 times more than we eat or drink). The air contains oxygen which is delivered to the cells, where it is consumed and generates power. Each time we inhale and exhale we take in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000, (10 to the power of 22) atoms.

Be still & observe

Lets take a moment to simply RELAX – Be Still – and observe our Breath. Close your eyes and as you RELAX – just begin to notice Read the rest of this entry »

For most of us our breathing is unconscious. We take approximately 23,000 breaths per day, yet rarely notice one of them when absorbed in the day to day dilemmas and delights; and the busy-ness of work and play. Many of us are breathing in various levels of toxins in any twenty four hour period.  City living, job/work environment and habits like smoking cigarettes, cigars or various other drugs/substances (including alcohol), as well as modern food all affect our breathing.

Sit cross-legged on the floor

When we do begin to choose a deeper relationship with our breath it can feel strange at first. Almost like you’ve been ‘caught out’ doing something you shouldn’t. The reaction can be like a fight or flight response where breath becomes restricted and fear emerges. For some this ‘uncomfortable’ feeling stops them in their travels, and they figure – “That was too hard, I’ll go back to unconscious breathing thanx – I don’t need the hassle/drama!” Read the rest of this entry »

“What’s the big deal about breathing?  We’re all doing it any way!”

Yes – we are all breathing – it sustains our existence. And to go without it for more than a few minutes causes serious brain damage and eventually death.

Discover a peaceful place deep within you via this 5 part Breath Awareness series

In this 5 part series Breathe into Life (available each Thursday for the next 5 weeks) you will be transported on a personal journey deep into yourself. This is where your breath begins.

In yogic wisdom the breath is called prana or Life-Force, in Chinese wisdom it is called chi. As ancient wisdom acknowledged the link between breath and Life-Force energy, experimentation led to many powerful practices and traditions. These included Tai-Chi, various Martial Arts, and yoga (which means Balance [Part 2]) designed to increase Breath Awareness [Part 1] and harness the power of the Life-Force energy through various breathing methods.

In modern times, many of us have continued to practice, learn and teach the Ancient Wisdom. And combine this knowledge with new information. Read the rest of this entry »

Diary of an Unborn Child

CONCEPTION:

Today my life began. My parents do not know it yet, but it is I already. And I am to be a girl. I shall have blond hair and blue eyes. Just about everything is settled though, even the fact that I shall love flowers.

TWO WEEKS:

Some say that I am not a real person yet, that only my mother exists. But I am a real person, just as a small crumb of bread is yet truly bread. My mother is. And I am. Read the rest of this entry »
